Mrs. Eutaska (Tac) Tew, age 73, passed away Saturday July 25, 2009 in Moss Point, MS. Mrs. Tew was born on January 26, 1936 in Booneville, MS. and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. She held a Bachelors Degree in Child Psychology and was a caretaker for the elderly. She also did volunteer work for a number of organizations which included; Jackson Co. Youth Center, Homes of Grace, Our Daily Bread, St. Jude's, and Singing River Hospital. Tac was a unique individual who loved taking care of others and lived life to the fullest. She never met a stranger and always offered to help those in need. She was an avid county music fan and much involved with the music industry. She will be missed by all who knew this unique lady. She was preceded in death by her mother, Syble "Nanny" Spicer, her stepfather, Robert Spicer, her father, Irvin Southern, her stepmother, Inez Southern, her husband of 37yrs., Andrew R. Tew, her grandson, Anthony Wayne Tew Jr., a granddaughter, Angela Tew Pierce, and a great grandson, Gavin Charlton. She was survived by her 4 children; Elaine (Ray) Broom, Allen (Debbie) Tew, Linda Darlene Tew Stone, and Tony Tew, 8 grandchildren; David, Lara, Michael, Randy, David, Tiffany, Kristie, and Alisha, 15 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Robert (Minnie) Spicer, Jimmy (Claudette) Spicer, and Howard (Diane) Spicer, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday July 27 at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Tuesday July 28 in the Chapel at Holder-Wells with the Rev. Robert Edward Spicer Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Macphelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.
