Annette Tisdale Torres, 88, a long-time resident of Moss Point, MS passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. She had been surrounded by family and friends in the days leading up to her passing. Annette was born in Haralson, GA on September 24, 1930, to Daniel Green Tisdale and Annie Eliza Caldwell-Tisdale, both who preceded her in death. She married Charles Cecil Torres from Moss Point. She had been an active member of Dantzler United Methodist Church, the American Camelia Society and the Girl Scouts of America for many years. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her beloved husband Charles, and her daughters Rebecca (Becky) Torres Grafton and Mary Karen Torres Bovard. She is survived by her daughter Janet Marie Ryan and her husband Bill Ryan from Sevierville, TN and son Kenneth Torres and his spouse Janet Torres from Overland Park, KS, grandchildren Adam and Amy Nelson of Vancleave, MS, Jacob Torres of Overland Park, KS, Travis and Shannatha Nelson of Hurley, MS, Joshua Grafton of Mont Belvieu, TX, Nicholas Grafton of Baytown, TX, W. Bradley Torres of Houston, TX, Holly Nelson of Vancleave, MS, Victoria Anne Ryan of Sevierville, TN and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, February 17, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Dantzler United Methodist church in Moss Point, MS. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church followed by burial at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to either the Dantzler United Methodist Church Maintenance Fund, or to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are with Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
