We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Katherine Watson Harris, at the age of 86, who left us on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Golden Oaks Nursing Home in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Katherine was born on January 2, 1939, in Kemper County, Mississippi, to Orion and Margaret Watson. She grew up in Pascagoula, where she graduated from Pascagoula High School. Throughout her life, Katherine touched the hearts of many as she dedicated herself to her work as an administrative assistant at Ingalls Shipbuilding.

We will forever hold her dear in their hearts. Katherine was preceded in death by her infant son and her beloved parents, Margaret and Orion. She also mourned the loss of her siblings: James, Billy, Paul, Tommy, Franklin, Eugene, Glen, and her cherished sister, Cora. Each of these loved ones had a special place in her heart, and their absence is profoundly felt.

Katherine leaves behind a loving family who will treasure her memory. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Harris Steinhauser (Jeff), and her adored granddaughter, Megan (Lucas) Hernandez, along with her great-grand daughters, Karsyn, Micah, and Charlotte Hernandez. She is also survived by her grand daughters Katie Collier, Rachel Sitka, and Lillie Anne Steinhauser.

Katherine's son, Steve Harris Sr. (Pam), also mourns her loss, along with grandsons Steven Harris and Jeffrey Harris, and great grandchildren Kaitlyn Harris, Jace, Bennett and Jack Harris. In addition, her brothers, Glenn, Douglas, and Daniel Watson, along with numerous nieces and nephews, remain to honor her legacy.

Katherine was also a gifted cook, a talented painter, and a passionate gardener, particularly of roses.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Holder Wells Coastal Chapel at 12800 Hwy 613 Moss Point, Ms 39563. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025, 11:00 AM at Holder-Wells & Coastal Funeral Home as well with a graveside at Serene Memorial Garden Cemetery.
