Anthony Shane Bankston passed away on April 12, 2023 at the age of 55. He was born on April 6, 1968 in Mobile, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his parents James A. Sr. and Effie Clarke Bankston, brother Tracy Bankston, brother-in-law Will Singleton, and sister-in-law Donna Bankston. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Teresa Bankston; children Anthony Martin Jr., Candyce Martin, and Adrianna Bankston; father-in-law, John Hyland III;grandpuppies Elsa Marin and Kaloe; siblings Rhonda Ann Singleton, James Bankston Jr, Trent and John "Jack" Hyland, and Michelle Thigpen; nieces and nephews Wendy (Neil) Yeager, Chis(Angelia) Singleton, Gil(Tonya) Singleton, Stephen (Tasha) Bankston, Stephine(Jimmy) Thrasher, Haley, Christian, and Teresa Thigpen; great nieces and nephews Greenlee Yeager, Sarah Kathryn, and Lyla Singleton, Caleb and Grance Richardson.

Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with family, friends, and smoking barbeque. He was an active member of Joppa Shriners,The Laurel Henry Wooten Masonic Lodge #414, The Mississippi Mountain Men, Scottish Rite, Ten Lizzies and The Gautier Men's Club. While being a part of the Gautier Men's Club, Tony was crowned King Altama the 42nd. Tony's favorite pastime was sitting down in his chair with his baby Elsa. He was immensely proud of each of his kids supporting them with every endeavor life had for them. Tony's most treasured moment in his life was marrying Teresa and being with her through everything.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with the funeral service immediately following at First Baptist Gulfport. Graveside services will be at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula at 2:00 pm. Brother Eric Smith will officiate the services.
