It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Richard Hammond, aged 56, who left us on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his home in Moss Point, Mississippi.

Anthony was born on August 11, 1968, in Mississippi, to Lemuel Hammond and Bonnie Cunningham. He dedicated his life to his family, finding joy and love in his marriage to Dorothy Jeanette Hammond, his beloved partner and friend. Anthony's warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew him. He cherished moments spent whittling, junking, and collecting treasures. His greatest joy came from the laughter and love shared with his grandkids, whether it was relaxing with an ice-cold beer alongside family and friends or simply enjoying the soothing melodies of his favorite music.

He is lovingly remembered and survived by his son Christopher Hammond and daughter-in-law Whitney, his daughter Samantha Hammond and son-in-law Danny Hand, and his daughter Emily Hammond. His legacy lives on through his grandsons Myles Hammond, Michael Hammond, Nathan Cumbest, granddaughters Bailey Cumbest and Chrislynn Hand, and his brother John Hammond and also his mother in law Leticia(Norman) Green and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be missed by his faithful 4 legged companion, Dallas Hammond.

Anthony was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Dorothy, as well as his father Lemuel, mother Bonnie, and brother Michael. Their memories will forever remain in our hearts.

To honor Anthony's life, visitation will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral service celebrating his remarkable life will follow at 12:00 PM, also on March 24, at Holder-Wells & Coastal Funeral Homes and Cremations, with Michael Pierce officiating. A graveside service will then be held at Serene Memorial Garden Cemetery.
