Mr. Aubrey Donald Dyess, 73 of Helena, MS., passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his home in Helena. He was born October 6, 1946 in Bassfield, MS., to William Alexander and Mattie Jenkins Dyess.
Mr. Dyess retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 2006. He was a member and Deacon of Helena First Baptist Church. He loved to read the Bible and enjoyed reading western books, and watching western movies.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dyess was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clifford Dyess, and John Dyess. One sister, Mary Sue Dyess,
He is survived by his dear wife, Peggy Diane Vice Dyess, 2 sons, Richard Moore, and Russell Moore, and one daughter, Julie Donette Dyess Lott.
2 brothers, Kenneth Dyess, and Cecil Dyess.
5 grandchildren, Aubrey May Moore, Aaron Michael Moore, Jakob Michael Lott, Gaylin Bryce Moore, and Lukas Dylan Lott. One great-grandchild, Braylon Zane Moore.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS., 39563. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bill Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Helena, MS.
