Barbara Sue Jones, 71, of Big Point went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2022. She was born September 1, 1951, in Monroe County, MS. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Jones and Geneva Parrish.
Barbara was a member of Full Life Assembly of God Church in Hurley, MS. She was a loving mother, mimi, sister, and aunt. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her sisters, and being with her friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by (4) brothers, (6) sisters and her brother-in-law Percy Hyatt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Scottie Wayne Buchanan (Krystle), Kim (Bill) Collom and Nicki (Will) Smith; grandchildren, Jerry Goff, Jessica Barton, Chandler Buchanan, Clayton Boler, Ryan (Jordan) Overstreet, Chase (Tatum) Overstreet, Krystina Taylor and, Alex Taylor; 6 great grandchildren, and 2 on-the-way; siblings, Debbie (Jesse) Jones, Betty (Roy) Joiner, Carolyn (Alvin) Waters ,Mary Hyatt, and Robert (Margaret) Hacker; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her nurse Lisa Burroughs, CNA Daphne Cones, caregiver Rachel Merritt, and her special church friends Rita Butler, and Lisa Towles.
Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS 39563. A celebration of life service in her honor will begin at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
