Mr. Benjamin Franklin Joyner 95, of Lucedale, MS passed away on September 29,2019 in Pascagoula, MS. Mr. Joyner was born on September 19,1924 in the Panama Canal Zone. He served his country with pride and dedication during World War II with the United States Army. He was a retired commercial pilot and worked was a spotter pilot for Standard and Omega Protein Fisheries in Moss Point. He also worked as an electrician for Ingalls shipbuilding. He enjoyed going out and eating dinner at the area restaurants.
He was preceded in death by his wife Avis Joyner, his children's Ruth Mary Joyner and Joseph Joyner, and his parents Charles and Liberty Joyner.
He is survived by his daughter Tammy Kennedy of Lucedale, his sons Phillip Joyner and John McCarthy both of Mobile. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step grandchildren.
A celebration of life service in his honor will be held on Sunday October 6,2019 beginning at 4:00 pm at the Little Acorn Assembly of God Church 139 Hwy 198 Lucedale, MS 39452.
