Ms. Betty Jean Carrow Shavender 77, of the Franklin Creek community in Jackson County, MS. Ms. Shavender was born on September 8,1943 in North Carolina.
She enjoyed going to the beach, riding her Harley and working in her yard. One of her favorite things to do was listening to gospel and country music, especially the Rock-n- Roll King Elvis. During the football season she cheered for the Mississippi State Football Team and the New Orleans Saints. She loved cowboys and dressing in all of her 100 different cowboy boots and stylish cowboy outfits.
Jeans best friend for 42 years was Janet DeAngelo, in which Janet referred to Jean as her " Bossy Big Sister" they would spend much of their free time going shopping and eating lunch together in Ocean Springs. She served as Janet's Maid of Honor during her wedding.
Jeans faith was very strong she read her Bible daily. She knew that God was by her side each day. She knew that God was her strength and without him she would be lost.
The biggest delight in her life was her Daughter, Vickie along with her 3 dogs Hummer, Bubba, and Trump. Her whole life revolved around all of them. She never stopped because she loved staying busy and doing all the things that made her happy.
She is now in Heaven with her daughter Vickie, her parents Richard and Cora, her brother Bill.
She is survived by her nephew Richard (Mallory) Shavender III,her great nephews Richard Shavender IV.,and Finnley Shavender,her great niece Summer Shavender. She will also be dearly missed her best friend Janet (Keith) DeAngelo, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life in her honor will be held at Holder-Wells Funeral Home on Monday July 12,2021 beginning at 7:00 pm with a visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. Chuck Oates and Mr. Keith DeAngelo will be officiating.
