Mrs. Betty Owens "Ga Ga" Pierce 87 of Escatawpa, MS passed away on April 12,2020 in Pascagoula. She was born on January 30,1933 in Moss Point. "Ga Ga", as she was affectionately known, has lived in Jackson County all of her life. She was a loving person to everybody who knew her. She was an accomplished pianist and organist. Throughout the years, she played at many weddings, churches, reunions and funerals. She taught piano for over 39 years in Jackson County. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Eugene Pierce, her son-in- law Joe Perkins, and her parents Forrest and Ollie Owens, and brother-in-law Leroy Wainwright.

She is survived by her children Dennis Pierce of Moss Point, Paula (Michael) Dunagan of Pascagoula, and Pam Perkins of Forts Lake, her sister Frances "Tet" Wainwright of Moss Point. She will also be sadly missed by her grandsons Brent (Robyn) Conn of Grand Bay, Wilson (Sheryl) Pierce of Dallas TX, David (Katie) Perkins of Grand Bay, her granddaughters Catherine (Cody) Leader of Gautier, Kathleen (Rip) Dueitt, of Leaksville, her great grandchildren Claire and Caleigh Conn, Emily and Kyla Parker, Mary Catherine and Owen Leader, Emerson, Henley, Morgan, and Mathis Pierce, Julia and John Perkins. Step great grandchildren Courtney (Patrick) Day and Hunter Ainsworth, Miley Dueitt, step great great granddaughter Ivy Day and numerous other relatives.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic the funeral and graveside services will be private. A memorial service will follow at a later date.
