Mrs. Betty L. Hester, 82, of Moss Point, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at her home in Moss Point. She was born on August 7, 1939, to Malrie Ellis and Lillie L Maples Oswalt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin Herman Hester, one son, Ronnie Marshall, 2 daughters, Etta Hester, and Felisa Young, one sister, Delores "Pee-Wee" Ellis.
Survivors include three sons, Rocky Marshall, Glenwood Marshall, and Dalton Marshall. Grandchildren, Nathan Marshall, Adam Marshall, Josh Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Nicole Walters, David Hester and, Felisha Johnson. Numerous great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, F.A. Ellis, Francis Ellis, and Eddie Steve Ellis.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Eastside Assembly of God Church, 7801 US -90, Moss Point, MS 39562, with Rev. Wendell Stork officiating. Burial will be at Orange Grove Cemetery in Moss Point. Serving as pallbearers; Fines Ellis, Franco Ellis, Zachary Hester, Rodney Hester, Ryan Marshall, Greg Walters, and Aiden Hester.
