Mrs. Bobbie Louise Brinkman Spencer, 82, of Hurley, MS, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Mobile, AL.
She was born July 23, 1937 to Bob Brinkman and Sadie Manning Taylor. Miss Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She adopted everyone she met. She loved to cook and fed people even if they weren't hungry. Bobbie enjoyed traveling, front porch sitting, and fishing and crabbing at the camp. She loved flowers and dressing up for Halloween. Anything the kids were involved in, she was right there with them.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Grand Bay, Al, Evangel Temple, New Horizon Ministries and The American Red Cross. She was past administrator for the Gautier Ball Park.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her dear husband, Monroe Spencer, great grandson, Drayke J. Whittington, Sister, Mary Garbini, brothers, Chalmus Brinkman, Wayne Brinkman, J.D. Brinkman, and Glen Brinkman, Step-father, Clarence Taylor, Step-mother, Lucille Brinkman.
Survivors include: 2 daughters, T. Darlene (David) Whittington, C. Diane (Mike) Jones, 3 sons, Darrel Spencer, Derrick (Tab) Spencer, and Darren Spencer.
Her 10 grandchildren, David J. Whittington, Dyneshia (Michael) Hale, Corey (Kelli) Jones, Chris (Sydney) Jones, Danielle (Drake) Nelson, Daria (Chuck Riser) Busby, Dustin Spencer, Devinn (Eric) Moss, Dylan Spencer, and Daylan Spencer. 16 Great grandchildren, Devana, Alex, Hayden, Eli, Tucker, Maddi, Lily, Addi, Rowan, Dahlton, Dawson, Caleb, Destiny, Donovan, Dakota, and Dallas.
4 sisters, Irma Sissy Hamilton, Mary Ruth Steiner, Darlene Tolbert, and Judy Rutledge, one brother, Henry Brinkman.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 6p.m. until 8p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS,39563. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Ediker officiating. Interment will follow at Grand Bay Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers: David J. Whittington, Dawson Busby, Dahlton Busby, Dylan Spencer, Caleb Riser, Corey Jones and Chris Jones.
