Brenda Milam, of Moss Point, MS, peacefully passed away on December 5, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Brenda lived a vibrant life filled with joy and adventure. She was a proud 1959 graduate of Wade High School, where she excelled in both softball and basketball. In her leisure time, she cherished gardening and fishing with her grandchildren. Brenda dedicated 30 years of her career as a Supervisor at Morton International and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ina Butler; grandmother, Ella Carter; brother, Ricky Carter; sister, Connie Dubose; and grandchildren, Levi and Amber Scarbrough.
Brenda is survived by her children, Eugene and Jo Lavender, Valerie and Rocky Scarbrough, and Melissa Lavender; her brother, James Carter; and her grandchildren, Samantha Comeaux, Eli Lavender, Matt Lavender, Joshua Kacharos, Leavy Scarbrough, Mackenzie Forland, Magen Kacharos, River Scarbrough, Jessie Nall, Travis Rawls, and Brenda Faye Rawls-Harrison, along with 21 great-grandchildren and a host of other close family and friends.
Visitation will take place at Holder-Wells Funeral Home—Coastal Chapel, located at 12800 Highway 613 South, Moss Point, MS, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with the Funeral Service to follow. The Committal Service will follow the funeral service at Magnolia Springs Assembly of God, 7300 Campground Rd, Moss Point, MS 39562.
Pallbearers will include: Travis Rawls, Jesús Lucero, Colby Harrison, Travis Nall, Jason Forland, and Elliot Carter.
