It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce O'Neal Mathieu, age 62, of Moss Point, Mississippi, who left us on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, Louisiana.

Bruce was born on October 28, 1962, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Clarence and Annie Marie Mathieu. He found joy in woodworking and cherished the sounds of old music that brought back treasured memories.

Bruce leaves behind his loving mother, Marie Mathieu; his devoted sister, Wanda George of Perkinston, MS; uncles Reggie Stokes and Bobby Wescovich; as well as his nephew, Jonathan Casey Jones, and his niece, Alechia Marie Entinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Mathieu and Ora Mae Stokes; his aunt, Doris Lanelle Mathieu; his great-aunt, Thelma Stokes; and many beloved nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts.

We invite you to join us for a graveside service to honor Bruce's life on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, taking place at Machpelah Cemetery, located at 5112 Machpelah Street, Pascagoula, MS. In this time of grief, let us come together to celebrate the spirit of a kind and gentle soul who will be dearly missed.
