Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cailey Michelle Holliday, age 23, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, who peacefully left this earthly life on November 11, 2024. Born to Mr. Terry Wayne Holliday and Mrs. Michelle Cook on November 23, 2000, in the heart of Mississippi, Cailey's vibrant spirit and indomitable strength left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cailey is preceded in death by her beloved father, Mr. Terry Holliday, whose spirit she cherished throughout her life.

She is survived by her devoted mother, Michelle Cook and stepfather, David Cook; her loving sister, Chasitie Holliday; her caring brother, Daulton Holliday; her cherished maternal grandparents, David and Brenda Childress; her paternal grandmother, Nancy Holliday; and a network of close family and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.

From an early age, Cailey demonstrated a deep passion for soccer, a sport that became an integral part of her life. Her dedication and talent on the field were matched only by her artistic abilities; she was a gifted artist whose creativity flowed through various mediums. Whether crafting unique projects or assembling intricate Lego sets, Cailey approached every task with enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail. Furthermore, her commitment to academic excellence was evident, earning her numerous scholarships and awards throughout her educational journey.

Despite the challenges posed by her cancer journey, Cailey embodied resilience and determination. She found joy as a camper at Camp Rainbow, where she was able to enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood. Her experience inspired her to give back, and she became a cherished counselor at the same camp, helping other children navigate their own journeys. Cailey's positivity and compassion fostered an environment of joy and support, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many.

Cailey's impact extended far beyond her roles as a daughter, sister, and friend; she was a beacon of hope and inspiration in her community. Her strength and grace, even in the face of adversity, serve as a guiding light for all who were fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Cailey's honor to Camp Rainbow, an organization that held a special place in her heart. Contributions can be sent to:
