Carol Gwendolyn Wise Jones Havens went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Carol was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Pascagoula. She is preceded in death by her parents, A.L. Wise and Alice Lorraine Tillman Wise, her brother, Lincoln M. Wise (Sonny), the love of her life, husband Allen C. Jones, and her loving second husband, Henry L. Havens (Hank).
She is survived by her three daughters, Jeanne L. Walker (Doug), Janice C. Merrill (Ricky), and Julie A. Leonard (Paul). She had 4 grandchildren, Brett A. Merrill (Molly), Callie A. Mason (Caleb), Hope M. Leonard, and Alana L. Walker. She had 4 great-grandchildren, Margaret J. Merrill, Anna W. Merrill, Jake A. Mason, and Palmer J. Merrill.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, sister, and Grammy. She loved to work in the yard, paint, and cook for her family. She accepted Jesus as her Savior as a teenager and Heaven is rejoicing at her arrival.
Services will be held at Holder Wells Main Street Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS 39563, on Friday, February 9, 2024. The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Henderson and Rev. Michael Wilkinson officiating. Interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS. Serving as pallbearers are Doug Walker, Ricky Merrill, Paul Leonard, Brett Merrill, Caleb Mason, and Neil Russell.
