Mrs. Carolyn I. Haney, 82 of Helena, Mississippi, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020
She was born on November 26, 1937 in Helena, Mississippi, to Edwin M. and Bessie Mae Lee.
Carolyn was a loving Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and teacher. She had a kind and gentle nature toward everyone, and quickly made friends.
She was a devoted member of Helena Presbyterian Church where she had taught Sunday school. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, sewing and watching the Hallmark channel. She was very successful with her sales as a past Mary Kay cosmetics representative.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Virgil Haney, and great grandson, Nathan Broxson.
Survivors include: her daughters, Marthanell Haney (Mark) Bennett, Susan H. (John) Cronin. Grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Pochon, Nichole (Steven Tyrone) Ford, Amanda Louise Faith Bennet (Mark Skillman), and Virgil Broxson. Great grandchildren, Hayden and Carson Skillman, Ethan and Zander Pochon, and Merida Broxson. Special friend, M.J. Broxson.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Light for the excellent care given to Mrs. Haney.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private.
Burial will be at The Old Concord Cemetery in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, Mississippi is in charge of arrangements.
