Obituary

Claude Coleman Daugherty, known to his family as Paw Paw, was born June 17,1945 and gained his victory October 2,2025. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jewel Olene Daugherty, his father, Austin and mother Sarah Daugherty, one brother, Tommy, one sister, Alice, and one grandson Nate Daugherty. He is survived by his three sons Ricky (Kim), Jimmy (Suzie), and Kevin (Jennifer), ten grandchildren, Shelbbie (Darius), Brandon, Andrew, Ashleigh, Isaiah, Conner (Maggie), Hunter, Cole, Logan, and Evan, and two great grandsons Caden and Alex. He is also survived by his sister, Betty, and two brothers, Glenn and Charles in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Paw Paw proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1969-1971 and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was also a dedicated inside machinist and worked with Ingalls Shipyard for over 40 years.

Other than his children and grandchildren, and his 55 years of marriage, he has been proudly connected with Woodlawn Baptist Church for most of the past 55 years where he served as youth sponsor and chaperone, Galilean leader, spiritual guide for the young people who came up through our youth group, pancake breakfast chef extraordinaire (along with Bro. Currie, and later with Bro. Chuck). He and Olene (Nana) were both saved and baptized in 1971 soon after he returned from Vietnam, and he has lived his testimony before family and friends since that time.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Woodlawn Baptist Church 2912 Old Mobile Ave, Pascagoula, Mississippi 39581. A Visitation will take place at 11:00 am and the Service will begin at 12:00 pm. An Internment will take place at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point, Mississippi following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donations be made to Kevin Daugherty medical expenses as he fights cancer.
