Mr. Clifton David Thomas 89 of Helena, MS passed away on February 2,2021 at his home. Mr. Thomas was born on August 18, 1931 in Philadelphia, MS. He was retired Battalion Chief from the Pascagoula Fire Department. He served his country with honor and dedication with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed classic cars and love working on their engines and doing body work. He was a loving family man.
He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Thomas, his son Earl Thomas, his sister Juanita Fulton, and his brothers Juaquin Thomas, Sam Thomas, and James Earl Thomas.
He his survived by his children David (Lee) Thomas of Foley, AL, Debbie (Willie) Ladnier of Agricola, Sharon (Nathan) Eldridge of Escatawpa, Martin (Ruth) Thomas of Vancleave, Teresa (Michael) Flores of Helena, and Bonita Lynn Big Point. His brothers Wallace (Peggy) Thomas of Philadelphia, Jan (Jean) Thomas of Gilmer, TX and his sister Earline Akins of Philadelphia. He will also be sadly missed by his 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday February 5,2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS 39563. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Serene Gardens cemetery in Moss Point, MS military honors.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic face mask and social distancing will be required in the funeral home and at the cemetery.
