Clotine "Tena" Jewel Craven was born in Laurel, MS on November 26, 1935, and passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on March 12, 2022, in her home in Pascagoula, MS. At this time she was surrounded with love by her family, and she will most definitely be missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John David Craven, father, Crosby Nowell, mother, Jewel Nowell, brothers, H.E. Nowell, Rene Nowell, Marlyn Nowell, sisters, Carmelita Lowery, Robbie Nicholas, Mona Reeves, and daughter-in-law, Kay Craven.
Survivors include her sister, Janene (Jim) Mars, Dallas, TX, and brother, E.J. (Mitchrie) Nowell, Laurel, MS. her children; David (Linda) Craven, Jr., Mendenhall, MS, Kent Craven, Pascagoula, MS, Tony (Brenda) Craven Sr., Vancleave, MS, Marilyn (Sam) Craven, Gautier, MS, and Russell (Julie) Craven, Lucedale, MS.
Grandchildren; Kim (Jared) Howell, Lucedale, MS, Jason Craven, Hurley, MS, Vicky Lynn (Ken) Hall, Pascagoula, MS, Katie (Karl) Sogn-Lane, Ocean Springs, MS, Tony (Tiffany) Craven, Jr., Vancleave, MS, Chad Craven, Vancleave, MS, Heather (Edgar) Martinez, Lucedale, MS, Joshua (Tayler) Stakes, Helena, MS, Clint Craven, Decatur, GA, Noah Craven, Lucedale, MS, along with 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Bro. Tony Craven will be officiating at Myrick Cemetery (Lower Myrick Rd., Laurel, MS) for the graveside burial service at 11:00 a.m. on April 2, 2022.
