Obituary

Mrs. Delores C. Hill, age 93, of Moss Point, Mississippi passed away August 29th, 2024, in Marksville, Louisiana. She was born July 16, 1931, in Greenville, Mississippi. Mrs. Hill was an Eastern Star and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Moss Point. Among Mrs. Hill's many talents she was an avid seamstress. She taught many people to sew and embroider and was always volunteering at the church or in her local community when she wasn't busy raising her 7 children. Mrs. Hill was known to make you laugh, whether she meant to or not.


Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband Henry Morgan Hill, parents WC McClellan and Mary Lee McClellan, daughter Margaret Hill Stauter, siblings Lanelle Banks and Robert McClellan, grandsons John R. Fagan Jr., Weston Hill, and granddaughter Amy Major, Great Grandson Matthew China and sons-in-law Ray Fagan, Ed China and Van Pierre Major.


Mrs. Hill leaves behind her children Paulette Hill Fagan of Pascagoula; Morgan Lane (Brenda) Hill Sr. of Luthersville GA; Angela Hill Major of New Roads LA; Phyllis Hill China of Dallas GA; William Kerry (Susan) Hill of Inlet Beach FL; Darien (Trachelle) Hill of Gulfport; and Richard Stauter (son-in-law) of Gautier. She will also be sadly missed by her 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
