Obituary

Mr. Derwood Keith Jackson 70, of Orange Grove, MS passed away on January 22,2021 in Pascagoula, MS surrounded by loving family. Mr. Jackson was born on May 16,1950 in Pascagoula, MS.>
He enjoyed coaching women's softball for many years, most notably Doc's Dolls, Silk Ridge, and The Billiards Club Softball teams. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting baseball cards, fishing, watching Ole Miss football, and Nascar. He admired classic cars especially corvettes. He and his wife Myrna would spend countless hours tinkering in their yard and antique shopping. Mr. Jackson had a great sense of humor and he was a proud supporter of the United States Military and his freedom.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, son and brother.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia Jackson, his parents Clinton and Clara Mae Jackson and his sister Rita Brown.
He is survived by his wife Myrna Jackson of Orange Grove, his five children Angie (Eddie) Howard of Franklin Creek, Salena (Craig) Drummond, Shannon Jackson, Tracy (Chad) Wilson, and Stacy (David) Chamberlain all of Pascagoula. His stepchildren Lee (Katie) Tanner of Escatawpa, Chris (Meagan) Tanner of Leakesville and Amanda (Barry) Tanner of Starkville.
He will also be missed by his grandchildren Witney Drummond, Landon Jackson, Shelby Buck, Kamryn Buck, Emma Kate Wilson, Anna Claire Howard, and Piper Jane Wilson. His step grandchildren Gavin Tanner, Whitley Tanner, Alexia Tanner, Dean Tanner, Savannah Tanner, Cherish Bond, Cerenity Bond, Chandler Tanner, Zachary Tanner, Grace Tanner and Makayla Tanner.
He leaves behind his sisters Patsy Jackson of Hurley and Sarah (Johnny) South of Helena, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday January 24,2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, Mississippi 39563. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Alton Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Howard, Craig Drummond, Chad Wilson, David Chamberlain, Brett Brown and Lee Tanner.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic Mandate Face Mask and Social Distancing will be required at the funeral home and at the cemetery. The family is respectively requesting everyone please observed the protocol mandate.
