Dewitt Dempsey Goodrum Jr. 65, of Grand Bay, Alabama passed away on August 21,2021 in Mobile, Alabama, he was born on October 15,1955 in Alabama. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his time fishing. He had a good sense of humor.He was an Alabama Crimson Tide Fan. He served his country with pride and dedication with the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dewitt Dempsey Sr.and Thelma Lee Shirah Goodrum Sr., his brother Charles Monroe Goodrum, his sister Jacqueline Mann,his father-in-law Robert Pearson and his mother-in-law Clarice Pearson.
He is survived by his wife Belinda Goodrum, children Eric Wayne Peffers, Tiffiany Nicole Tillman, Dewitt Goodrum, Bob Wesley Goodrum (Brittany) and Shannon Mark Bell, his sisters Lucille Goodrum Clampet, Gwendolyn Boden and Iris Linder (Hershel). He will also be sadly missed by his 12 grandchildren Christine Sprinkle, Eric Peffers, Brittany Collier, Devin Busby, Haven Terry, Kaden Terry, Robert Story, Alexis Story, Jyudaah Manning, Trystan Evans, Kyley Evans,Taylor Bell and Logan Bell. His 13 great grandchildren Landon Hicks, Trevor Hicks, Skylar Hicks, Sadie Hicks, Karter Rose Peffers, Darrion Collier, Sarina Collier, Cecilia Collier Brooklyn Brobbel, Braylon Busby and Braydon Owens, and Asher Storey. Nieces, Nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday August 26,2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, Mississippi 39563 with graveside services following at 3:30 pm in Cokes Chapel Cemetery in Ward Alabama with military rites.Rev. Billy Jowers will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Eric Seagrest, Bob Goodrum, Eric Peffers, Jessie Gribble, Devin Busby and Tim Johnson.
