Elizabeth Green, 85 of Lucedale, MS., passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Moss Point, Mississippi.
She was born May 14, 1934 in Alabama to Edgar Thomas and Hester Quinn Bates.
She graduated as Valedictorian of West Jefferson high school, in West Jefferson, Alabama.
Mrs. Green was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding where she had worked as a word processor. She was a life long resident of Moss Point, until 2005 when she moved to Lucedale. She loved flowers and bird watching. Mrs. Green was a member of, and served as past secretary for the Mississippi Archeological Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby V. Green, one son, David R. Waugh, and one brother, Wayne Bates.
Survivors include her four sons, Mike Waugh, Tim Waugh, Tommy Green and Jimmy Green. One sister, Jan O'Neal, and one brother, Tommy Bates.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Green will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, Mississippi, where friends may visit one hour before service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Elizabeth's memory to your local animal shelter.
