Elois Hansen of Moss Point was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 26, 2020. She was born in Neshoba County, Mississippi to Edward Loper and Addie Watkins Sweeney on July 1, 1936.
She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, John Carl Hansen and a loving mother to Janice Hansen of Waveland, Debbie (Ron) Morris of Mobile, and Pamela (David) Thompson of Ocean Springs. She was the best "granny" ever to her grandchildren Nicole (Doug) Baker, John Allen (Leslie) Goff, Megan (Brandon) DeCair and Brittany McNair. She was also loved by her (6) great-grand-children. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles (Phyllis) Loper and Tommy Gerald (Patty) Loper and her special friend Etta Mae Verbeke along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Emma and Bill Prassnoes.
To know Elois was to love her – She retired from Sears after 26 years, selling appliances to half the people of Jackson County. She was a member of the East Moss Point Baptist Church. She was a fireball and hard worker and always a quick wit. Once you became her customer you also became her friend. She was larger than life and leaves a legacy of strength, courage and love. Elois and John had a love story that will live on forever; they enjoyed 66 years together as of September 5th. When you saw one of the them, you saw them both. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to travel. Most of all she loved to bless others with her love of cooking always willing to make her famous pound cakes for her friends.
