Obituary

Faye Rogers Stokes entered her Heavenly Home on December 6, 2025, in Franklin Creek, Mississippi, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness. Born on October 9, 1949, in Claiborne, Alabama, Faye was the embodiment of Southern grace and charm. Her life was a testament to the strength and beauty that can be found in simplicity and dedication to family.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline "Polly" Rogers and William Loil Rogers, her siblings, Carol Ann Rogers, Sara Mae Rogers, Sandy Kay Dewberry, Charles Rogers, and Tommy Rogers, her daughter, Lana Faye Stokes, and her grandson, Bobby Daffin, Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband, Donald Ray Stokes; children, Lisa (Gresham) Ware and Ronald Wayne Stokes; grandchildren, Jacob Daffin, Rebecca (Wayne Colton) Howard, Braedon McCool, Julia Lee, and Amber Stokes; great-granddaughter, Bentley Daffin; and siblings, Nancy (Jimmy) Larson, Cheryl (Sonny) Morrison, Teddy Tompkins, and Tony Tompkins; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Faye dedicated many years of service to the Dietary department at Singing River Hospital until her well-deserved retirement.
A devout Christian, Faye carried her faith with grace and conviction. She was a source of spiritual strength for all around her. She and Donald Ray took immense pride in their immaculate yard and garden, a slice of paradise that they cultivated with love and care. Her family was her world, and she cherished the time spent at cookouts, surrounded by laughter and good food. Faye treasured the memories she made during family trips to the Smoky Mountains. She thoroughly enjoyed jig saw puzzles, canning fruits and vegetables, and fishing, shrimping and crabbing. Christmas held a special place in her heart, as it was a time of faith and family, two pillars upon which she built her life.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Brian Persing and Mindy Bustamante at Singing River Cancer Center and Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during this transition.
