Frances Marie Alden Saucier of Pascagoula was born August 23, 1930, in St. Albans, Long Island, New York. Grew up in St. Petersburg, Fl. Resident of Mississippi Gulf Coast all her adult life.
She was employed at Miss Press (chronicle Star Newspaper) and then at Wolfe, McDuff Mallett CPA's as a bookkeeper/jr. accountant prior to retirement.
She was a member of our Lady of Victories Church and attended faithfully. She was interested in genealogy and active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Pascagoula chapter Duchess De Chaumont; Life member of the Alden Kindred Society of America; Member of the National society of Founders and Patriots of America; Member of the Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims; Life member of the American Legion auxiliary, and Queen in 2000; Life Member of the VFW post 3373.
She and her husband loved to travel and traveled extensively. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, reading genealogy and local events in the community.
Preceded in death by parents Mary Boland and Lewis Jones Alden; Husband of 40 years and father of her children William R. Groseclose; Daughter Rose Marie Groseclose Vincent; second husband of 29 years Edward Clifton Saucier. Survived by Daughter Maureen (Daniel) Stutz; granddaughters Erin Stutz (Michael) Pettit and Heather Stutz (Joseph) Mutter; grandson Allen Lee of North Carolina. Saucier stepsons, David, Terril and Steven Saucier; daughter Jan Saucier Zaren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, 503 Convent Avenue Pascagoula, MS 39567. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM with Father Adam Urbanik officiating. Interment will conclude at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, MS.
