Geoffrey Sean Scott, 46 of Grand Bay, Alabama, passed from this life on Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. He was born March 31, 1973 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Sean was a standout football player at Mobile County High School in Grand Bay, Alabama, he enjoyed riding bicycles with his daughter, Victoria, fishing, sports of all kinds, he enjoyed the beach and was a Florida State Seminole fan, but most of all, Sean loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Martin Scott; maternal grandparents, Evert and Pauline Dean; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Loyce Scott; John's parents, John and Margaret Eckford and an uncle, Edward Glynn Dean. Survivors include his daughter, Victoria Anne Scott; mother, Charlotte A. (Dean) Eckford; dad, John H. Eckford, Jr.; sisters, Tracy Llewelyn Copeland and Jonnette Elizabeth & Johnny Barnett; nieces and nephews, Colby Trey Copeland, Madison Layne Copeland, Robert Barnett, McKenna Barnett, Shandra Barnett, Jeslyn Barnett & Louis Barnett. Uncles and aunts, Billy J. & Sandy Dean, Roger D. & Mary Dean, Paula J. Umanzor, Jimmy R. & Shirl Dean, Sheila A. & Jerry Hinton, Mark A. & Denise Dean, Beth Smith, Jamie L. & Bill Wilburn, Leslie C. Scott, Jeff Scott and numerous special cousins; other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1:00 until 2:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Derek Draughon officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Copeland, Brice Walters, Brock Walters, Felix Umanzor, Dwight Patteson, Darrin Nixon, Terry Dunsford & Ricky Miller.
