On November 25th, 2020 Gloria Mae Noble McQueen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 1st, 1944 in Biloxi MS to Floyd and Lillian Noble. An innocent game of penny-a- walk and a few walks around the house turned into a lifelong marriage to the love of her life Charles D. McQueen Sr. on August 17,1963. Gloria loved spending time in the garden with her husband Charles. She would spend countless hours canning, making jelly and storing their harvest just to give most of it away to their friends and family. She loved spending time at their camp fishing, hunting watching grandchildren swim and swinging on the porch waving at boats as they pass by. She was her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's biggest fan when watching them play sports. She loved putting together jigsaw puzzles and has countless puzzles framed and hanging in different homes all over the coast.She made the best gallon of sweet tea in the south, and was always ready to pour someone a glass if they stopped by.
Gloria is survived by her husband Charles McQueen, four children Chuck (Kathy) McQueen, Steven (Charrie) McQueen, Ronnie (Mikelyn) McQueen and Darlene (Gary) Emerson, her brother Wayne (Nell) Noble, and sister Melba Embry. She will also be missed by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces' nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday November 28, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS 39563. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 am from the funeral home chapel with Elders Terry Breland and Vivian Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Community of Christ cemetery on Wilson Springs Road in Escatawpa, MS.Pallbearers will be Steven McQueen Jr.,Sterlin McQueen, Adam McQueen, Elvin Kasby, Tommy Ferguson and Joey McQueen. Honorary pallbearers will be Mckinley McQueen, Josh Slayter,and Joseph Stewart.
