Helen S. Price, 76 of Pascagoula, MS passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Leakesville, MS.
She was born November 8, 1943 in Pensacola, Fl., to James D. and Mary Nell Phillips Simmons. Helen was a graduate of The University of South Alabama and held a B.A. degree in social science. She was past president of the Mobile Ostomy Association, and one of the oldest Spina Bifida survivors known at the present. And a retired social worker.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, James D. Simmons, and Mary Nell Phillips Simmons.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Self. Dear friend and caregiver, Elizabeth Carpenter, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec 11, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS 39563. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Tanner officiating.
