Herman Jesse Rushing III Passed away at his home in Moss Point, MS, at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman J. Rushing Jr. and Margie Lee Rushing, his Brother Randy and Sisters Debra and Zandra. He is survived by his children Tracey (Timothy) O'Flynn, Faye (Brad) Paetz and Jessica Luce; his Grandchildren Hunter O'Flynn, Haley O'Flynn, Katelyn Abernathy, Kirsten Thornhill, Konner Thornhill, Grant Paetz, Ethan Paetz, Sarah Paetz, his "Little Buddy" Samuel Luce; his siblings Sherry, Joel and Jill; and his life-long best friend and brother-in-law Julian Richard. He was also blessed with five great-grandkids.
Herman was a second-generation Shoe Cobbler and owner of City Shoe Shop in Pascagoula, MS and Economy Boots in Gautier, MS. He had a gift for fixing anything mechanical. His true passion was the outdoors, boating, fishing on the barrier islands, where he made countless cherished memories with family and friends. He was a local fishing legend, even being featured (with his brother Joel) on the front page of the Mississippi Press for a record lemon fish. He adored his three daughters (Tracey, Faye, and Jessica), and enjoyed supporting and bragging about them every chance he got.
Herman's Life was one of hard work, adventure and love for those around him. He had a heart of gold, and loved his family immensely. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
