It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hilda Sue Brown, affectionately known as "Sue," who left us at the age of 74 on March 10, 2025, at her home in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Sue was born on December 5, 1950, in Taylorsville, Mississippi, to her loving parents, Curtis and Grace Sims. On August 23, 1974, she married her soulmate, Billy Keith Brown, in Pascagoula, a union filled with love and cherished memories. She was a member of the first united methodist church of Pascagoula and. Hilda devoted 25 years to her role as a special education teacher in the Pascagoula school district. Her passion for nurturing young minds and her dedication to her students exemplified her deep love for children.
Sue's joy radiated through her laughter, her love for dancing, and her passion for music. She embraced life to the fullest, especially during her favorite time of year, Mardi Gras. A true lover of family, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, and she found happiness in spending time with family and friends
Sue is now reunited with her beloved parents, Curtis and Grace Sims, as well as her brother, Carrol Sims, who precede her in death.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Billy Brown, of Pascagoula, MS; her loving children, Richard K. (Monica) Brown, Bridget Brown, Billie Brown, and Kayla Grace (Julius) Bosco; her cherished grandchildren, Rylee K. Brown, Elijah Richard Brown, Adalyn Grace Brown, Julius Bosco, Pierce Bosco, Sawyer Bosco, Haydin Bogard, and Mali Baker; and her dear siblings, Harold Sims, Reudean Warren, Billy Sims, Charles Sims, Mary Sims, and Wanda Miller.
In honoring Sue's vibrant spirit, a visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on March 13, 2025, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, located at 4007 Main Street, Moss Point, MS. A service will follow at the Holder-Wells Main Street Chapel, and we will gather for a graveside service at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS, at 12:30 PM.
