Ida Mae Stork Sprinkle Harris, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama. She was born on March 10, 1931, in Pecan, Mississippi, and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and unwavering love for those around her.
Ida Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Harrison Stork Sr. and Lydia Corine Clark; her husband, Jesse S. Harris; her seven brothers, Benjamin Stork Jr., Tubby Stork, Johnny Stork, Graham Stork, Hermes Stork, Frank Stork, and Cotton Stork; her two sisters, Stella Koskela and Augusta Poole; her three beloved children, Mack Sprinkle, Michael Harris, and Mattie Sprinkle Bosarge; and three grandchildren, Tony Bosarge Jr., Chrissy Bosarge Barnes, and Jedidiah Lynn.
She leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her children and family members: daughter-in-law Gwen Sprinkle; son Stevie and Mary Lee Sprinkle; son Gregory and Annie Sprinkle; son David Sprinkle Sr.; and daughter Karen and Bert Lynn.
Ida Mae was the proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren: Bridget Sprinkle, Ida Meekin, Ann Sprinkle, Tabatha Collier, Gayla Sprinkle, Mack Sprinkle, Stevie Sprinkle, JJ Sprinkle, Luke Sprinkle, Michael Sprinkle, Nicole Taylor, Gregory Sprinkle Jr., Emma Poff, Jackie Jenkins, David Sprinkle Jr., Tony Bosarge Jr., Glen Bosarge, Crissy Barnes, and Jessica Lynn.
Her legacy continues through 56 great-grandchildren, 90 great-great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, each a testament to the love and strength she passed down through generations.
Ida Mae was known for her devotion to family, her resilience, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her home and heart were always open, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ida Meekin, and others for their dedication, care, and unwavering love shown to their beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Holder Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main Street, Moss Point, Mississippi.
A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at Machpelah Cemetery, 5112 Machpelah Street, Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Ida Mae's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a legacy that will live on forever.
