Jackie Allen passed away in God's timing at his home July 27, 2020 at the age of 81. Jackie was born in Jackson County Mississippi and a resident of Escatawpa. His parents were Jessie T. Allen and Hazel Beckman Allen McLeod. Jackie is survived by his wife of 51 years Wilmer Jean (Tina) Stuart Allen, his sister Linda Allen Randolph, three sister in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and special lifetime friends that became family. Jackie served with the National Guard of Mississippi and the Army of the United States. Jackie retired from Chevron Products Company Refinery in Pascagoula where he was employed for 30 years. He was in the Maintenance Department and retired as a General Foreman. Jackie loved fishing, hunting and playing on the Pascagoula River and it was not unusual for him to bring his catch of the day home to Tina for her to prepare a delicious meal. Jackie was one of a kind. He was a very straight forward person but a very generous person who would give the shirt off his back to help others in need. Because Jackie and Tina had no children of their own, he loved to spoil everyone else's children. Jackie loved children and children loved him. When they would come to visit he would always give them roles of coins and it had to be in a brown paper bag, no exceptions! He loved to see the excitement on their little faces and had fun watching them trying to figure out how much they had. He spent his final years taking care of his beautiful wife. Jackie will be sadly missed.
A graveside service lead by Pastor Michael Perez will be held at 11:00am on Friday August 7, 2020 at Serene Memorial Gardens, 12800 Hwy 613, Moss Point, MS 39562. Due to the concerns surrounding COVID-19, social distancing guidelines will be in place and face masks are required while attending.
In lieu of flowers, please make tribute donations to Jackie's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Alzheimer's Association or Escatawpa Baptist Church where he was a member.
