James C. "Jimmy" Grafe, age 76, passed away on April 18, 2021 in Mobile, AL. Jimmy was born on November 19, 1944, in Pascagoula, MS. to Ralph and Mary Emma Grafe. He was a 1962 graduate of Moss Point High School and attended Mississippi State. Jimmy served in the Mississippi National Guard. Jimmy was co-owner in the family business, Grafe Auto Company of Moss Point from 1941 to 1999. Jimmy was a member of Wade Baptist Church.
Jimmy was a godly man. Years ago, Jimmy went to each and every member of his family to find out where they stood in their relationships with Jesus Christ because he did not want any of them to miss the opportunity to be reunited in heaven. Jimmy was involved in many ministry organizations. Jimmy was involved with his church family outreach ministries with visitation. He led many non-believers to Christ. His godly legacy will be passed on for generations to come.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Emma Grafe.
He is survived by his wife, Donna McKnight Grafe; his daughter Ashley (Alan) Smith; his son Noel (Elizabeth) Grafe; his daughter Mary Emma Grafe; eight grandchildren, Erika (Daniel) Waide, Dustin (Krissi) Stanford, Jenna Richardson, Amaya Smith, James Grafe, Katherine (Niall) Mehaffey, Caroline Grafe, Cooper Grafe; 5 great-grandchildren, Harper, Grafe, Maddox, Olivia, and Sawyer; one brother, Johnny (Anita) Grafe; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and one grand dog, Daisy.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 23, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. at Dantzler Memorial First United Methodist, Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4912 Weems St., Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m from the sanctuary with Bro. Brannon Lott and Bro. Rodney Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Griffin Cemetery, Moss Point, MS. Serving as pallbearers are James Grafe, Cooper Grafe, Dustin Stanford, Daniel Waide, Niall MeHaffey, and Ben McIntyre.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Club Meth to Christ, P. O. Box 365, Escatawpa, MS 39552.
