James Wesley Woodson, 76, of Pascagoula, Mississippi passed from this life on Friday, July 2, 2021, in Pascagoula. He was born on April 8, 1945, to James Evner Woodson and Lillie Mae Adcock Woodson.
Mr. Woodson was a member of Eastlawn Methodist Church and a life member and Hall of Fame member of the Jackson County Bowler's Association where he also served as King of the Bowler's Ball in 2001. Mr. Woodson was retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding after 42 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Wesley Woodson, two sisters, Jeanette McCain and Marilyn Moss, and one brother, Evner "Button" Woodson.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Carol Foster Woodson, one daughter, Kim (Brian) Langston, two grandsons, Steven (Maegan) Langston, and Jacob Langston, two great-granddaughters, Rilyn Langston and Vana Langston along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, MS.
