Mrs. Jessie Pettis 88, of Orange Grove, MS passed away on March 8,2020 in Pascagoula, MS. Mrs. Pettis was born in Escatawpa, MS on April 17,1931. She was a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Annie O'Neil Chapter #37.
She is preceded in death by her husband loving husband of 66 years David L. Pettis Sr;her parents Charlie and Mattie Miller, She is survived her son David L. (Janet) Pettis Jr., her daughter Donna (Mark) Cobb of Pascagoula. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Toni (Brian) Grady, Jamie (Jerrod) Cook, Chasidy (David) Hembree, Matthew David-Aaron Cobb and her great grandchildren, Karah Lee Grady, Claire Elizabeth Cook, Greer Allen Cook, Jaidyn Elise Sanders, Peyton Elise Hembree and family friend Lauren Eshliman.
Visitation will be Wednesday March 11,2020 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, Mississippi 39563. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Wendell Stork officiating. Burial will follow in Orange Grove cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
Pallbearers will be Matthew David-Aaron Cobb, Wayne Dethloff, Jerrod Cook, David Hembree, Arthur King and Julian Barrow. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Grady.
