Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Jessi Marie Shows, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. She was 82 years old and a resident of Hurley, MS.

Marie had a great love for The Lord, and for her family and friends. She was an active member of St. Elmo Seventh Day Adventist Church in Irvington, AL. She loved her church family dearly and was always so thankful for them.

She loved attending church and spending time with her family. She enjoyed her two cats and was always sharing photos of them. She also enjoyed doing crosswords puzzles and word searches, but mostly you would find her reading her bible. She liked garage sales and bargain shopping and having lunch with friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Odis Darrell Shows, and her beloved son, Wesley Darrell Shows.

She is survived by her children, daughter Terrie (Dan) Pauls, daughter Randi (Ronnie) Gatwood, and daughter Sandi (Stan) Pauls, 15 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

She was a servant of The Lord and exemplified great faith and the love of Christ to everyone around her. She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and never met a stranger. She loved with all of her heart and she leaves a Godly legacy that will forever be cherished.

There will be a private memorial service in the coming weeks.
