Jewel O. Shell, 80 of Gautier passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 in Ocean Springs. She was born on November 2, 1931 in Pass Christian, MS.
Mrs. Shell was employed by the American Greeting Card Company for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Shell; her parents, Alpheus and Mary Elizabeth Duck; her brother, Theodore "Ted" Duck; her grandson, Delmar White.
Mrs. Shell is survived by her brothers, Edward and Carl Duck; her sister, Edna Knowles; her sons, George (Judy) White of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Richard (Janet) Thackwell of Wetumpka, Alabama; daughter, Candice (Joe) Richards of Gautier; granddaughter and adopted daughter, Angel (Kevin) Finn of Escatawapa; grandchildren, Ricky White, Marc White, Chris Turner and Robert Turner; granddaughter-in-law, Tara White; great-grandchildren, Bethany Lishman, Abbigail Finn, Lauren Finn, Shelby Ann White, Skylar White, Christian White, Ashley White, Shayla White, Jacob White, Shane White, Billy White, Chris White, Shannnon White; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be, Edward Duck, Richard Thackwell, Dwayne Poole, Tony Hollis, Terry Killingsworth, and David Patton.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 11:00 until 12:00p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home of Moss Point. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon from the funeral home's chapel.
Graveside services will held at 2:00pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6040 Three Notch Rd.; Mobile, AL. 36619.
