Mr. John M. Ezell, Sr., 59, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his home in Vancleave.
He was born to Hugh L. and May Potts Ezell on September 12, 1963, in Warrington, England.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward L. Ezell.
John was a talented and creative man, full of life and humor. John always had a joke to tell and could make anyone laugh. He could fix anything and build anything. He did brickwork for the cross at The Home of Grace and won several awards for being a master bricklayer at the Pascagoula Vocational School. He was a kind-hearted person, helpful to the elderly by fixing broken appliances or mowing the grass. John was also very quick to help a stranger in need, and he would never ask for anything in return. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Ezell, children, John M. (Shana) Ezell, Jr., Hannah M. Clayton, Brittany Pierce, Brandon Pierce, and Cody L. (Lane Jones) Ezell. His former wife and caregiver, Janell Pierce. Four grandchildren, Tanner Ezell, Layla Ezell, Brent A. Mallette, and Molly Ann Clayton. Siblings, Alan W. (Carol) Ezell, Sr., Susan May Nichols, and Mamie (David) Futch. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
