John Leslie Fortune, age 64, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

John was born July 24, 1961 in Texas, a son of Charley and Tommie Jean Glendening Fortune. John had been employed as a Government property analyst for Ingalls Shipbuilding In Pascagoula Mississippi. He enjoyed going to concerts, Listening to Classic Rock, some of his favorite bands were The Eagles and Little River Band. In his free time he loved football, gardening and golfing. He was also part of the Pascagoula golf club.

He is survived by one son, Joshua Jay Fortune (Olivia) of Moss Point, MS; one grandchild, Kalab Broadhead; his mother, Tommie Jean Fortune; and his dear friend, Leila Fortune. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charley Eugene Fortune, Dorothy Loflin, and Charles Glendening; one sister, Deborah Fortune; and his uncle, James Willis.
