Mr. John August Schollian, 93, passed away on January 14, 2021, after a brief illness. Born on September 29, 1927 in Baltimore, MD to the late John August and Elizabeth Schollian (DeVage). As the first born of eight, he was often called "The Leader of the Pack." John was married to his soulmate, Lena Mae, for 65 years and had four beautiful children.

He served in the US Army, was a member of the American Legion, retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 44 years of service, and was a proud member of the Christ Lutheran Church for over 82 years.

John is preceded in death by his wife Lena Mae, Grandson John Lloyd Williams (MS) and Great-Grandson Jacob Scott Williams (MS). Sisters Mary Hanna (MD), Betty Premeaux (MS), Laura Couch (MS). Brothers William Schollian (MS) and Bobby Schollian (MS).

He is survived by his four children: Sheila (Fella) Williams (Moss Point, Maxine (Don) Holcomb (Hurley), Johnny (Aletha) Schollian (Moss Point), and Woody (Gwen) Schollian (Tenn.) Brother James J. (Dottie) Schollian (MD) and Sister Ann Marie Silar (Robin) (WV). 6 Grandsons Matt (Randa) Williams (AL), Josh (Tonya) Williams (MS), David (Angela) Skelton (MS), Brian (Machelle) Skelton, Chris (Erin) Hayes (AL), and Tyler (Victoria) Schollian (MS). 3 Granddaughters Alisha Harding (MS), Jennifer (Chris) Day (MS), and Jamey (Newman) Nowlin (AL). 12 Great-Grandchildren Taylor, Justin, and Brandon Williams; Grace, Mason, and Ava Skelton; Bradon Harding; Brooke Day; Lundyn, Brooks, and Anderson Nowlin, and Ashlynn Schollian.

Family services will be held at Holder Wells Funeral Home Main Street Chapel, on Monday January 18, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Derek Wafflel officiating. Entombment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park.
