John Morris Short age 46 passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John A and Bobbie Jean Hendley, William and Evelyn Short.
He is survived by his wife, Tessa Short of Lucedale; sons, John Austin (Emily) Short, Cam Preston, and Grant Rice of Lucedale; daughter, Ireland Rice of Lucedale; mother (Bonus Dad) Cheryl (Garland) Weaver of Lucedale; father, George Short of Pascagoula; grandchildren, Jake Swanson and Leo Short of Lucedale; sister, Wendi (Rick) Parker of Lucedale; brother, Michael Short; niece, Maybelle Wang of Lucedale, nephews, Joe Parker and Ricky Parker of Lucedale; niece Amber Parker of Pascagoula.
John enjoyed guitar, fishing and drums.
A visitation will be held Saturday October 28, 2023, at 10am at Agricola Baptist Church, a memorial service will follow at 10:30am with Reverend Jacob Milstead officiating. A meal will be served in the fellowship hall following the service.
