Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Cox Buchanan's Obituary
Johnnie Ruth Cox Buchanan, 88, of Pascagoula, passed peacefully from this earthly home on Sunday, June 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late John and Blanche Cox on Friday, October 4th, 1935.
She is preceded in death by her parents, children, George Alan Kinney and Susan Ann Morrison, great-granddaughter, Julia LaBatte and Addison Rodriquez.
Mrs. Johnnie is survived by her children, Amy (Steve) Eaton of ME, George E. (Melanie) Kinney Jr. of ME, Katharine (John) Webb of MS, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and so many more who loved their Momma Johnnie!
She has been a part of the Salvation Army family for 45 years, where she dedicated much of her time. She also loved crocheting day in and day out, shopping with her family and friends, eating those delicious crab legs and going on the women's retreats with her Salvation Army Ladies.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army in Mrs. Johnnie's honor. Salvation Army of Pascagoula – 3808 Arlington St, Pascagoula, MS 39581.
