Age 85, a long time resident of Martin Bluff (Gautier), MS passed away January 5, 2009 in the Ocean Springs Hospital.

Her and her late husband Bob Robinson ran the Singing River Grocery throughout the late 1960s and 1970s. She also opened two liquor stores in the area, and Bob took over Roy?s Fish Camp in the 1970s and 1980s. Bob helped create and was the first president of the Martin Bluff Water Association and was also the first Fire Chief of the Martin Bluff Volunteer Fire Department. Juana also wrote articles for the Mississippi Press during that period.

She requested to be cremated because, ?she could never stand the thought of being confined.? She didn?t want a viewing either because, ?she never wanted to draw attention to herself.? She is survived by her only son Mike Toland, of Martin Bluff, MS.
