Kaitlynn Victoria Rockwell Cherry, 28, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed from this life on Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Pascagoula. She was born on October 11, 1993, in Pascagoula, Mississippi to Tracey Eugene Rockwell, and Heather Purdy Copeland. Kaitlynn loved her family and adored her two children, Brycen, and Gracelynn Cherry. She was a cosmetologist and spent lots of time primping, to look her very best, and to help others do the same. Kaitlynn also enjoyed boating with family and friends and happily took on the role of the first mate.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, David Purdy, Gwin Garrison, and C.F. Roberts, and grandmother, Willie May Roberts. Two uncles, Randy D. Rockwell, and Craig J. Rockwell.
Survivors include her husband, Corey Cherry, two children, Brycen Cherry, and Gracelynn Cherry, her mother and step-father, Heather and Thomas Copeland, her father, Tracey Rockwell, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Whaley and Regina Cherry, 2 sisters, Lauryn Loveless, and Reaghan Rockwell, 2 brothers, Hayden Copeland and Mason Rockwell. Grandparents, Sheila Garrison, Theresa Mohning, Gerrie Hicks, Paul Mohning, Steve Rockwell, and great-grandmother, Louise Rockwell Harper and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS., 39563. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ted Pagel officiating. Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, 5112 Machpelah St., Pascagoula, MS.
