Katherine B. Helton age 96 of Vancleave, MS passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2023. She was
born in Hattiesburg, MS on February 8, 1927.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bentley Joseph Helton. Parents: Thomas and Katherine
Boutwell, her in-laws Jesse and Josephine Helton, numerous brothers and sisters in law.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Dorothy McNeil; her sons Charles (Gwen) Brady, Frank
(Patricia) Brady, Joe (Holly) Helton, daughter-in-law Linda (Jim) Firmin; grandchildren, Steven
(Melanie) Brady, Brad (Christy) Brady, Chad (Nicci) Brady, Katie (Weldon) Babuchna,
Johnathan (Heather) Brady, Stephanie (Mark) Kovich, Jessica (Gabe) Medrano, Blakeny Firmin,
Julie (Ben) Jackson, Natalie Helton, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Sandel, Joel Sandel. She had 30
great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and her special friend Penny (Todd) Broski.
Katherine enjoyed spending time at church and with her family. Her children and grandchildren
were her greatest joy.
Pall bearers will be Steven Brady, Brad Brady, Chad Brady, Johnathan Brady, Bentley Brady,
Holden Brady, Baylor Brady, and Keegan Helton.
The family will receive friends and family at Pine Lake Baptist Church in Vancleave on
Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The service will take place at 11:00 am.
Entombment will follow at Roseland Park Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS at 2:30 p.m.
