Kathy Henderson Baker, 71, of Grand Bay Alabama, passed away at her home in Grand Bay on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1951, in Jackson County, Mississippi, to Earl and Kathleen Bennett Henderson.
Kathy has owned and operated The Heritage House restaurant in Moss Point since 1997. She loved to cook and bake. She was a kind and caring boss and enjoyed spending time with her staff. She loved them, and they loved her. She also liked gardening, traveling, and watching movies.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Earl Henderson and her mother, Kathleen Bennett Henderson, and brother-in-law, Robert Miller.
Survivors include her two sisters, Shirley (Robert) Switzer, and Brenda Miller. One brother, Richard (Elva) Henderson. Nieces and nephews, Trisha (Todd) Martin, Tammy (Bruce) Smith, Tara (Shane) Crocker, Greg (Kathy) Switzer, Jeff (Cindy) Switzer, Joey (Amy) Switzer, and great-nieces, Hannah Dulin, Madeline Smith, and Macey Crocker and great-nephews, Tyler Martin, Tayler Martin, Justin Smith, Nolan Crocker, and Ethan Crocker. And numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a. m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Jeff Switzer officiating. The burial will be at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point. Serving as pallbearers are her great-nephews, Sean Switzer, Joshua Switzer, Timothy Switzer, Jonathan Switzer, Seth Switzer, and Zack Switzer.
