Kenyon Pardue, age 80, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on January 4, 2021, at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile. Born on November 11, 1940, in Dean, Louisiana, he enlisted in the United States Army after graduation.
Kenyon Pardue, age 80, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on January 4, 2021, at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile. Born on November 11, 1940, in Dean, Louisiana, he enlisted in the United States Army after graduation.
In the Army, Kenyon served honorably and was discharged in 1961, after which he enlisted in the United Air Force and served until his honorable discharge in 1970. Among the medals he was awarded were the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. A man of few words, Kenyon Pardue served his country well.
Kenyon was a faithful member of the Tree of Life Church for many years. Besides his Lord, he loved fishing, crabbing, and shrimping and even built a boat for his fishing and shrimping.
He is preceded in death by his father Jurd L. Pardue and mother Alma Absent Pardue; brothers J.C. Pardue, Quentin Pardue, Lloyd Pardue, Dempsey Pardue, and Leo Pardue; and sisters Pauline Pardue, Katheline Pardue Harrell, Ernestine Pardue Westbrook, and Carrie Pardue Springfield.
He is survived by his sisters Iris Smith, Joye Baker, Cora Crain and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Ms. Elise Mauldin and Ms. Maxine Daughhill, who befriended him and said he was always a gentleman.
