Kitty Patricia Aguilar, a beloved member of the Jackson County community, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Harleston, MS at the age of 77. Her family and friends mourn her loss, but they celebrate her life and the many memories they shared together.
She was born on October 29, 1945, at the old Jackson County Hospital in Pascagoula, MS, to Robert (Len) Reus and Avie Ryan. Throughout her life, she was known for her exceptional leadership skills, sharp intuition, and her unwavering willingness to help others.
Kitty was a devoted wife to her husband Francisco (Cisco) Aguilar and a loving mother to her four children, Patricia Touchet, Raul Quintana and his wife Lisa, Robert Quintana and his wife Joanne, and Pamela Quintana. She was also a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, a grandson, and two great-grandchildren.
Kitty was an Extra Amateur Radio operator, and was involved in religious and educational activities, as well as grass roots politics. She also loved free-style ballroom dancing and was always willing to share her love of music and dance with others.
Her family and friends will always remember her for her warmth, her laughter, and her selflessness. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, starting at 2:00 pm, in the Holder-Wells Coastal Funeral Home Chapel, 12800 Hwy. 613, Moss Point, MS. The doors will open to the public at 1:30 pm. The family invites all who knew and loved Kitty to attend and pay their respects.
